Chapter 4 Diagnosis Modes
Starting and Finishing a Biopsy
NOTE: Make sure to adjust the biopsy guideline before using the biopsy feature.
1. Press the Biopsy button to turn this function on.
2. Insert the needle along the guideline, and then perform the biopsy as needed.
3. When all procedures are complete, press the Biopsy button again to turn this function o. Biopsy
is now nished.
Needle Mate
Select Needle Mate on the touch screen to turn this function on. This will help you to see the biopsy
needle in the ultrasound image better. You can set Needle Enhance to L, M, or H. Use the Needle ROI
‘-/+’ buttons to adjust depth; pressing ‘+’ increases depth.
NOTE: Needle Mate is only available when using a Linear Probe in 2D mode.
