Pulse Wave Spectral Doppler Mode
This mode displays blood ow speed at a certain point within the vessel over periods of time. Distance
(depth) information can be obtained by transmitting pulses over time frames.
This is useful for examining low-speed blood ow in the abdomen, in the peripheral vessels, etc. A 2D
image is also displayed, so that you can view or change the location you are examining within the image.
PW stands for Pulse Wave.
